Strategic Industries Law Passes the Federation Council

On April 16, the Federation Council approved the Strategic Industries Law without any amendments or revisions. All that remains is President Putin’s signature. Next Friday will be the 3-year anniversary since he first called for such a bill. The Law will most likely be the last piece of significant legislation that Putin signs.

For a legislative history of the bill, including the current text – go here.

Random note – some of the Federation Council’s committees used a nearly illegible cursive Cyrillic font in their reports on the legislation.
