The Life of a Small Business Owner in Russia (they may shoot your dog)

Channel 1 recently showed a profile of Vladimir Shalygin, a small business owner in the Prokopevsky Raion in Keremovo.  In August, a group of armed men arrived at Shalygin’s house and proceeded to fire their weapons at Vladimir and beat his son Sergey in the head with an ax.  Oh yeah, and they shot Vladimir’s dog and set his cars on fire.  The security video of the attack was shown for the first time on Channel 1 (posted below) and, as Russian bloggers are pointing out, it really calls into the question the claims that such violent corporate raiding practices have stopped since Putin introduced stability to Russia.
